I'll give you a snippet about me. I've got 3 boys 11/13/15 and have been separated/divorced for about 4.5 years. Most of my married life I burnt the candle at both ends working in manufacturing doing shift hours and plenty of on-call response. On top of that I renovated and landscaped each property that we lived in using each move as a stepping stone. Each time I finished a place the ex missus wanted to upgrade. I also operated a domestic/commercial sole trader business on the side to help fund the materials for the renovations as she stopped working when we started a family. The marriage obviously didn't last and she ended up with the lions share. Ever since I've been trying to get my timing right to buy a house, maximising my buy potential and minimising my next mortgage. The market fell 2017 but I missed the boat before it took off again. When I thought the market was going to fall again it went up.
Then Covid hit and I got the news that I would become redundant from my manufacturing position after 25 years. I expected that Covid would disrupt the market eventually so I took the plunge and started investing like I'd wanted to but never taken the plunge. My idea was to buy during the panic and reap the rewards later, improving my financial position. Most of the investments that I made were meaningless, except for LTR. The more I learnt the more I bought. LTR was very promising.
@TrayonRanger originally gave me the heads up about LTR. He was very prudent with his knowledge to get my awareness up of where we were at with the lithium discoveries and the lurking disruption. I had a crash course and ran with it. The more I learnt the more I wanted to know. Next I realised that my super was another way I could improve my position. I couldn't get my hands on it fast enough. I waited 2 months before I ticked every box, waited for the ATO and then finally rolled my funds over to my newly set up SMSF. What was left of my super after it's flogging from financial separation and Covid etc. I took what I had and invested a big portion of it towards LTR also. Ever since I've helped educate numerous family and friends on what I've learnt. The Legends on this forum are a big part of my journey. You are also my mentors. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You know who you are.
LTR is not my only holding but it is definitely Donut Club worthy!
So, what next? Well I'm employed until the end of this month. After this I plan to take a year to make some decisions. In that time I may do some traveling and hopefully take my boys on a few trips. Where to? Where do I start? I've done very little overseas travelling so plenty to throw on that list. Definitely open to suggestions on this one. I'll have plenty of time to ride my KTM350 through some single line trails and I plan to buy a boat. Eventually I wouldn't not consider travelling this awesome country but not just yet. The house thing... well I'd be crazy to cash out a chunk for that right now with so much growth ahead so I'll give myself a year for that too. Huge short term growth ahead. So any mum and dad profit taking recently never included me.
I'm 44 and life is pretty bloody good looking ahead. In saying that if you've done your maths you'll be aware that there are few on here in a very good position themselves. They drop the odd hint here and there. Liontown Resources and the behemoth that is becoming is changing people's futures. Most will not tell their story but you now have mine.
