well that puts a different light on the issue. i was assuming the fed approval was the 'final' approval. if it is just a step towards approval by the state authorities then final approval has not yet occurred for these changes. Given Bruce's record on announcements I'm not surprised but at the same time I'm not nearly as concerned as some on here.
The Carnaby cockatoo is protected and the feds are legally obliged to ensure there are minimal impacts, this has always been a concern for me but now there is an approved path thru the maze. IMHO
