RCE is developing a synthetic antibiotic. The Burns unit at Fiona Stanley hospital is trialling one of the RCE products to treat infections. It is possible that if the RCE product is successful it could marginally reduce the advantage of PNV's BTM over the biological scaffolds because they could have an effective treatment for infections.
As an aside, I was talking to someone at the pub and she told me that Fiona Wood (the head honcho at the burns unit at Fiona Stanley) was not overly friendly with the expert from Adelaide (sorry, forgotten his name). Apparently, they worked together and he left to further his career in Adelaide. The person at the pub implied Fiona Wood may not be too keen to trial his products (PNV's BTM).
Anyway, I stress my knowledge is superficial.
