I must admit I havent done the research you have and I agree, even from what I know, this is completely being ramped up / overblown and by looks of your research not potentially relevant.
I appreciate different views, as TinHat has - but as you did, anyone who has a concern take it to the company. IMO - if people still not happpy report them or just move on.
