The downside risk is catching a falling knife and understanding where value is. Trying to catch the handle is the trick because if you miss then it's only a small nick that is suffered. AMP has a knack of creating bad news but it's undervalued IMO and the SP has raised to $1 before and then came back up again only to drop down again. New
CEO won't change the strategy necessarily but will hopefully push it through to leave the remaining wealth/bank business in better shape and give something back to shareholders when the private business is hived off. IMO
