In all honesty @cletus2, March last year was the best of times in the last decade to be loading up on shares. For those old enough to have lived through the GFC you know when events like this occur and all shares, species and blue chips alike plummet its the best of times to buy. Companies as big and important to the economy as the national carrier QAN, miners like FMG and our banks are all to big to fail and the governments would provide all the support needed to ensure they stay solvent through such events.

Some people panic sell into the drop after holding on too long and then buy in too late thereby crystallizing big loses. They would of been better off riding it out as all the 18 ASX stocks I diversified into have not only recovered but have gone onto well and truly breach their pre covid SP highs. People dont think things through or remember the past and by giving into the fear and panic selling presents once in a decade buying opportunities that astute retail punters and the seen it all before institutional traders take advantage of. My worst performer is up 70% and best nigh on 200% plus dividends from the 2020 March lows. You need to admit you got it wrong by you recommending practically every stock was a sell in March last year when in fact you could of thrown darts to pick any ASX stocks and got it right. By doing so you wont be making the same mistakes next time such a event happens. History has shown they occur throughout history but who is to when and for what reason. The trick is to know what to do to take advantage of said events when they invariably happen and how you can best profit from them.

FMG in my opinion if you ignore the short term IO related price swings has excellent long term future prospects. If they continue to perform as well as they are in the short space of time they have created FFI. They may go on to being a far larger company in market cap and dividend player if than they currently are, hence them being my biggest holding at this time. Good luck to you and sorry you did not load up on FMG and many other stocks you were telling others to sell in March last year. Hopefully you realized the error of your thinking and dont repeat the same mistakes when another once in a decade buying opportunity presents itself.
