Insiders don't have to be part of the board or an employee for insider trading ... did he use inside knowledge, not available to the market, when he sold at the top, 5.6 million shares, at market close, just prior to the news that EQT were pulling their takeover bid?!
It would seem so, based on the uncanny timing. But proving and getting a conviction is the big challenge for ASIC.
Shame for us, as if he hangs around it'll drag on the SP, and if he goes, it'll likely be an instant blow to the SP
