A horse told me that a Shenzhen-listed lithium chemical company has owed a big-name battery company 7,000 tons of lithium which has been ordered but cannot be delivered. Since April this year, some battery factories in China have begun to intermittently stop production because of the lack of lithium.
Please note that I am not 100% sure this is true, although I believe it is not far from the reality.
