That is true yttrium and IMO a switch from coal/oil will eventually happen, but not in the near future. I think it will be a gradual change-over lasting for at least a century as oil gets scarce, coal gets more expensive and other forms of energy are made available at a competitive price.
I'd expect CO2 levels to reach at least double the present level before this happens though.
