Indeed. We were given the indication that a price-sensitive announcement was coming, so many people (myself included) became excited about the prospect of probable good news and some decided to buy in. When it actually opened suddenly and unexpectedly without any news, no doubt some of those buyers who put their orders in expecting to have news to read and an opportunity to change their order based on it before it opened would have been disappointed and immediately sold, causing a small selloff.

It's a shame, we should have had a positive start to the day with our momentum continuing and the NASDAQ giving a nice lead this morning. It'll barely be a blip on the radar of course and we may well have a green day anyway. Sloppy work on the part of the ASX. Perhaps someone in the ASX office fat-fingered TNT when putting in a hold intended for another company with a similar ticker. It would be amusing (not for holders of that company) if they neglected to hold trading on the correct company and they went into normal trade with a price-sensitive announcement released.
