The media reports Morrison and Co are one of two bidders in the final auction round for Icon Group, if Infratil gets a stake is another thing.
Also just saw tonight Beijing is selling Kiwi Waste, which from memory Infratil bid for pretty hard when Cleanaway sold it back in 2014.
I've always seen the latter as a beneficiary of the green revolution, green energy is just one piece of the puzzle, waste another.
Would be good to get a controlling stake or JV in both. I doubt we'd have the firepower to purchase either outright but could nicely put that spare NZ$1B to good use. Health and waste are two industries never going away.
