I can think of numerous applications where it could actually be useful if it gets a substantial increase in tensile strength, googled CNT concrete and found some numbers in papers like 100% increase in flexural tensile strength for high doses, not sure what this product actually does. even a 30-40% increase for 40+MPa concrete would be be a big deal.
But it’s seemingly being marketed toward highway pavements where you could always just use (cheaper) higher grade concrete for most of the properties you’d want.
I haven’t looked that far into it, maybe it’s because they’re trying to get it in various US DoT specified mixes or something but it doesn’t seem to be the right application.
I’m not totally sure why this is being done in the US rather then Australia either.
