I was ready to make a call if bis left it to long to reply,patience is not a characteristic of mine as announcement was only made yesterday.
Yr post pushed me to phone.
As described by bis HY100 is a generic term ie definition to describe some general or vague group of class.
ie The qty of chemicals used in producing HY100 could vary from French HY100 compared to US HY100.
Bisalloy has not supplied US sub hull steel,so hopefully the French HY100 will be accepted by the US,otherwise imo bisalloy should receive compensation or grants to develop the US HY100.
