The world is coming to a realisation, I think, that China is the biggest threat to world peace in many years. China and the rest of the world will increasingly 'decouple' as you put it, but China won't be driving the process.
Interesting times ahead, particularly for those with interests in IO. Worth noting that barley growers and winemakers were able to ride the storm of Chinese tariffs better than expected. Not sure if IO producers will find new replacement markets as easily.
