    The market opens and closes with an auction where prices are matched to determine the opening/closing price. That sell could be at 1c and it wouldn't matter, it would still match with the 31c buyer and the closing price would be 31c(the 1c seller would actually get 31c for his shares). The closing match period starts at 4pm and happens between 4.10pm and 4.11pm at a random time(a random time that somehow the algos always seem to be able to predict to the second)
