Everyone participating with abandon in the current market thinking "buy the dip" is always going to be reliable is going to get one nasty, capital crushing lesson eventually. Many won't touch the market again; the rest will hopefully learn from it and explore that un-sexy aspect of investing / trading - risk management.
Rule #1: Protect your capital. Rule #2: Grow your capital.
Not paying any attention to rule 1 makes it tricky to work on rule 2 when the market isn't so generous.
