Some of those sub holder notices are from prime brokerages for trading brokers like invast and fp. So the selling and buying in one day just represent a whole bunch of (mostly retail) traders.
Just because you think a stock is great value doesn't mean the guy who bought in on IPO does. Stocks don't always go up, people need to take profits, and yes shorting does happen.
