In the US gas is supplied at just 0.25psi. So the 3-5psi 'low pressure" EDE inlet is actually 20-50x as high as standard residential pressure,

A domestic gas supply is designed to deliver about 25MJ per hour. That is just 7KW/h.

A 1000KW genset is about 30% overall efficient. With 30% diesel use it still uses around 8125MJ (218m3) of gas per hour that is 325x as much volume as a domestic pipeline is designed to handle. So you must use a far larger pipe (and much higher pressure). .
