Ah that's fair, I didn't read it properly, but if it stands to reason that they've lost 43M in changing to Z1P, why do it?
Afterpay hasn't changed Clearpay UK to Afterpay, because they understand the value of brand recognition.
Changing Quadpay to Zip seems more of an ego move than anything else. This could prove costly and you've given competitors a leg up. If you look at combined web traffic to quadpay and zip, it seems to have fallen after. Could also be seasonal changes, or other.
