on Oz - I've given up

I've written Oz off.

I support some research there (or anywhere) - but, I only have an interest in supporting research that would be not otherwise supported - by either corporate or government

for the 'concerns' on the current world - ditto


I'm long long long long past thinking that the world is changeable

if humans have come 200,000 years - and what we see now is the best that the animal can do -

it's rooted

my hope and I think our hope for the future can only lie in technology - and, it's a race there - to be saved or to wipe ourselves out


no idea which will win the race

what is crystal clear to me - is that without technological help - the animal cannot cut it - it's just not possible - we've had long enough


we are well down the track to ACTUAL idiocracy -----

just put aside your political feelings for a moment -

if a space ship landed and out popped an alien or an alien couple and asked - 'take me to your leader'


I would have thought that anyone with a brain would say 'oh, god, why now?'


it is surely an embarrassment for most of us
