Awful lot to wade through today and so many predictions of doom and gloom.... see below the rise of IO from 1982 to 2012 and note the trend in the price of IO over time. Too often folk focus on the average price of a commodity, but average depends on when you start and finish your sample. IO sales in Australia really got under way in the mid 70's but no one takes their average from then. So, disregarding averages, medians and such it is, imo, more important to note the trend in prices over time:
