@Parsifal - on another level - recently, I have done too much 'thinking' - like examined all my decision, which is something I have only done sparingly, thinking it 'weak' (and never having had much spare time) - yet the trauma of my 'best' child's death made me do it and I realised that we are not really creatures who can actually make independent decisions, We are motivated, propelled by our past experiences, good and bad, like a computer: we are digitally 'programmed'.
(A novel thought for me, as I like to think: 'I am in charge')
We are driven or motivated by very accidental things which come into our lives from the outside, from a universe over which we have little control; one accidental occurrence which somehow intersects with our life, can have life-changing effects - and we think we are in control.
I have often sought 'control' - often, not always, if people were involved, I would get what i was seeking, changing their life in some way, too, often I would have to adjust, seek new ways of thinking, learning etc.
It is something worth thinking about: namely: do we really have control over our lives?
However, as a last thought:
Don't think too much, have fun!!
