I have seen people berated for pumping (up) or making positive comments about a company. Then when anyone mentions the down ramping they use the HC forums don't affect the share price conclusion.
The problem is those that can't afford to lose are caught up on false statements like a claim it was 17c US which is 23c AUD and when it doesn't pan out they get all shitty when they pay 15c AUD and it goes down to 12c or worse.
