MGT might not make it to production. Everyone invested is aware of that possibility.

You'd expect if management knew they were sitting on a huge house of cards, they would be throwing out all sorts of nothing announcements to try prop it up. They are hopefully focused on getting this to production in 3+ years. When they have news, material or otherwise, they will release it per their disclosure obligations.
