I don't like desperate buyouts and paying too much (in this case AST) with no vision on what will be in it for the share holders. IMHO APA is already behind the curve here and they will be losing in any case.
Not happy at all with APA management. They made a lot of mistakes, screwed Orbost, lost a lot of money in 2020 - 2021, now this with AST. APA needs some positive momentum, I see none of it in the near future.
