My decision to invest in Volt was simply because they had one of the the largest Graphite deposits in the world and they had only explored about 6% of it. Also their flake size was good quality which could be used for multiple purposes. The infrastructure of having roads, electricity, water etc were all favourable. And then I did some research on Trevor Matthews . I wanted to know what projects he had been involved with in the past.
I found out that he had an accounting and finance background with over 25 years experience in the resources industry including roles with North and WMC Resources in executive-level positions. More recently, his last two roles were as MD for MZI Resources (2012-16) and Murchison Metals (2005-11). During his career Mr Matthews has gained considerable experience managing a number of nascent resource projects through to production. One of those was Murchison Metals . He took Murchison from an exploration company with a market cap of about 30 million dollars into production which was eventually valued at approximately $2Bn in market cap.
You can have the best story going around FiveCent, but if you don't have the the right man who has the capabilities to get the job done, than it won't get to its final destination.

The decision has now been made a lot easier and that is the recent Ukraine acquisition comes into play. That only strengthens my belief that I made the right choice to invest in Volt. Sometimes you can be lucky that after you have invested with a company that the story gets better because of the decisions management have made. Trevor decided to go after this Ukraine mine which I believe will prove to be a company maker for this company .
The opportunities that this will create to foster partnerships and alliances with other major companies will prove to be very significant.
