I've repeatedly pointed out that projects of this kind, and especially in the case of the very incompletely understood mTOR complexes that were discovered on in the 1990s (there are actually two) that play so many crucial governing functions in our cells, have frustrated and defeated numerous promising medications because of one hitch or another since the 1990s, many of these projects were financed by large companies, in lympoma alone, dozens have been cancelled or put into suspension. So that PAA are now at the stage of actually successfully treating dogs in an ongoing trial is a great achievement. I was convinced last year that PAA had at least shown the drug could be useful as a niche medication; this year's trial is in the process of proving it to be something more than a niche treatment. So to let frustration to cloud our judgement at what is shaping up into a world class achievement at this point (imo) would downright stupid. After all the board members have themselves plenty of skin in the game. What we need to do is hold our nerve, but between now and the AGM I suggest that everybody who wants to ask a question to carefully formulate probing questions instead of letting mind fogging anger take over. It might make people feel good for a few days, but PAA is at a crucial stage right now as they seek a commercial partner and prepare for the human trials across three disease categories next year.
