re: talk of the town - ridge. Yes, I understand your concerns Riidge.

However, it is worth bearing in mind that this is not really just an ISP in the conventional sense. They have built their own network and are not dependant upon TLS at all. Thei intention is to provide this network to other vendors also. I believe that 2 have signed up already and will commence within the next month.

I also like that they have priced the service at about the same price as ADSL.

Many people may not be aware that there are still an awfull lot of people in Sydney who still do not (and will not in the immediate future) have access to broadband.

It is worth thinking a little about demographics too. Unlike we oldies, who tend to buy a house and live in it for many years, the "younger" ones have a higher propensity to move frequently (often they own an investment property but live in rental accomodation). The beauty of Unwired (as opposed to ADSL) is that if you move you just take your "rabbit" with you and you are still in business. Many people are now electing to not bother with landlines at all. A mobile phone plus an Unwired "rabbit" gives you everything you need, without the hassles of relocation.

Unwired have a serious look about them.

Gerry Harvey has taken a substantial position.

    I don't hold.
