US big tech is absolutely baked into our lives.....and boy is it baked into the lives of the next generation. So I like the position Hamish has taken here - a long term punt on US big tech with some international defensive brands as a safety net.
He also punted on Chinese big tech (to a lesser degree) but has since backed off quite a bit on this....still, the market continues to punish Magellan for these Chinese investment losses - its way overdone now.
I think this is a market misread on MFG - it’s a $50 stock completely oversold on negative sentiment. I will keep accumulating (have bought some more this morning) - I think by Christmas we’ll see that sub $40 was very good buying.
