I like these designs a lot. Brand name, an icon for recognition, simple presentation. The start icon itself on smaller packaging once recognized.

Just for fun, have a look at the History of the Amazon Logo. It certainly didn't reach where it was on the first try and I could say the same for several companies, including Apple.

This design you presented gives me the impression of a serious technical product, not a toy.

As much as the robot makes a nice mascot, he would probably be best suited for the Web site and providing "helpful tips" in the product documentation.

I think you should propose this one to the company (maybe they'll give you a Pi for your efforts).
