I agree. I think it depends entirely on what matters to people and sometimes the gulf is so large there isn’t common ground. I like to think that it’s possible to find a bridge but alas it pleads that’s not always the case. Strange thing is that many of the posters who take exception to me might actually be interesting to talk to round a dinner table and they may even find I’m not so bad. They might even find our fundamental values on many things aren’t that different. It’s curious really - the two dimensional nature of hotcopper can create these flat caricatures
