They would have a good idea internally what claims will be made and will have modelled for those assumptions with excessive provisions. I think the worst possible outcome is that IAG settles all of its claims, in which case I think they will still have leftover cash. Noone knows for sure what the outcome will be, but you can draw some assumptions from UK cases and broker concensus. Just my thoughts. Could be completely wrong though.
