I suspect that you’d struggle to keep up with the demands of a large acreage and the reality of the work involved. One person tackling that many acres would be hard - animals that need care or land without animals - heaven forbid. @Joannie ‘s husband is a cautionary tale.

maybe if we aged backwards….. maybe if….

Ticking desires is one thing but facing the work is another. Sticking with what you have and finishing that off - then keeping it neat and tidy and abundant makes sense. That would be contentment.

I miss my 30 acres but I don’t miss that I’d have had to be out there cleaning it up. Instead I have the pleasure of being friends with the new owner and able to visit and stay in my old stomping ground whenever I like. I have a designated bedroom as well. So I’m very happy with that compromise.

my little suburban garden is abundant and feeds me well. I get lots of my seeds and vegetables from the street seeds bench - for free. It’s easy for people to come visit me or me to visit others - but I might be a bit more sociable than you.
