Interesting Scomo spending time with all these world leaders going deep into Nuclear! Boris just announced 3 more Nuclear plants getting built. USA is well involved in Nuclear now and planning plenty more construction. Europe and Asia rolling along with Nuclear big time. He is constantly talking about 'net zero'. I honestly don't know how he plans to do this without Nuclear? Battery tech has too long to perfect, solar and wind are too unpredictable and not efficient enough! Solar may power some of the smaller towns in rural Australia but no hope for the big cities with increasing populations. The argument about Nuclear Waste Storage is flawed, we have huge untouched dessert environments with non-permeable geology and low water tables where we could easily dispose of nuclear waste.

To be honest, his lack of communication and reference to Nuclear (apart from the Submarine announcement) makes me think he has a few cards up his sleeve. He will be coming into an election soon. I think in the coming months we will hear a lot more about Nuclear power and our Uranium capacity. He will obviously be timing his BIG announcements following the lockdowns. Any announcement now will fall on deaf ears with how much people are over his leadership and fed up with life in Australia, especially the eastern states. He will be hoping that when people are in a better mental state they may warm to his announcements in a better way in late 2021/early 2022. That is my take on it all anyway.
