Can you explain why that high price is on a chart labelled SPI Volume but not SPI Spot?

Perhaps you or someone else can confirm the expiration dates back then.

My memory is it was the last day of the month.

If it was the 2nd last day then it becomes a discussion over whether on expiration day you use the existing contract or the new contract.

On expiration day itself I use the new contract but could understand if others use the expiring contract and the new on the same day.
