    IMO it is partly an INSURANCE for China's or CATL future battery needs.. they can INFLUENCE the production & prices. This investment they making is for CONTROL of the supply - thus the future PRICES of Li - they can now switch it off/on.. so if Manono is that HUGE resources, CATL has an INSURANCE and minimise buying on the spot pricing.. ALL IMO
