This information is not accurate.
Li-ion life span in terms of cycle life depends on the quality of materials used. It's the same with any product. If you buy a product made out of cheap materials it doesn't last as long. But Li-ion batteries made from high quality materials can go to 2000 cycles ++++ and still retain 80% of the original battery capacity.
I find LIS's testing very deceptive every/most battery materials or battery manufacturer calculate the cycle life before hitting 80% of the original capacity. Whereas LIS is doing it with 60%.
This suggests that their 80% capacity life span is something like 200-400 cycles which is well below the acceptable range.
