    well I'll start off by saying I'm not a geologist:

    the east tennant/Barkly region is sort of wedged in between the two.

    there's a relatively recent theory that suggests that massive sedimentary hosted deposits are guided by the thickness, variations and thinning of the lithospheric and asthenospheric boundary.

    the white spots are where the LAB is thinnest. and they've found some massive $1 trillion + size deposits in these sorts of areas.

    and the proximity of the east tennant to TWO of these thinning locations could have implications.

    but as I said, this is in specific reference to sediment hosted deposits. which I'm not sure is a serious contender in the east tennant at this time. I think most are expecting magmatic/IOCG.

    which is why I thought the two thinning LAB locations nearby might add a interesting dimension.
