    There was a ceasefire. Only one side tried to observe it. I'm tolerating a wiki page (that has endless pages of modifications) as evidence What it does highlight is the nonsense people talk when they suggest Palestinians are not interested in a 2 state solution. The one time in the last so many decades, when they go through the political process and a party legitimately wins handsomely on a 2 state manifesto, and the aftermath sees a 4 week onslaught from Israeli forces. Just how they started in 1946, when they were blowing up British forces, through to today - nothing different.

    Not according to multiple independent reports at the time.
