    IMO this is missing the point. This specific virus and corresponding vaccine is really about what condition you want your immune system in when you are FIRST infected.

    No vaccination > infected = Higher chance of hospitalisation and death. Strong immuntiy if/when you recover.

    Vaccinated > infected = Much lower chance of hospitalisation and death. Strong immunity if/when you recover.

    The vaccines don't do a great job of stopping Delta infection, but they do a great job of keeping you out of hospital when you do get infected. I dont really get why you'd risk hospitalisation and death to develop anti-bodies, when vaccinated > infection antibodies will give the same post infection protection for far less initial infection risk.
