Yeah. I'm a long term holder of the flagship unlisted fund (thanks to an advisor). Also a holder of PAI. They have made money but not as much % wise compared to others. Still prefer to be diversified however. The roses can just run and I have to attend to my weeds.
Perhaps the lessons learned for me at least is that when a fund starts to underperform it's benchmark it's perhaps time to get out as it's hard to catch back up due to fixed investment mandates and ongoing fees.
For me two of the biggest myths in investing would have to be - Set and Forget <- no such thing... - Past performance is not an indicator of future performance <- yes it is !!!
