MGF posts weekly NAV announcements, so you have to compare the current share price to the latest NAV announcement to work it out,
Although they have just today announced their monthly NAV which as of Sep 30th ( yesterday ) was 1.942.
today's share price closed at $1.71, thus a discount of 11.9% to yesterday's NAV. Quite a sizeable discount really.

If you want to be clever, you could adjust yesterday's NAV down by 1.2% which is roughly how much the S&P500 fell by last night.
I also find the Firstlinks website useful. It provides a weekly Bell Potter LIC report which has performance figures and share price discount / premium figures several times a month.

If you want to know which stocks they hold you can look at their quarterly portfolio disclosure document which is found
on the Magellan website ( www.magellangroup.com.au ), but it is deliberately released a few months late.
