Hi Clueso you can follow the fund ticker on a daily basis Its called an INAV = Indicative Net Asset value the MGF fund ticker code is MGFAUDINAV - type that in as your share code. I always have the fund ticker immediately underneath the share so I can keep an eye on the difference.
The Magellan High Conviction Trust (MHT) also traded at a 10-12% discount to NAV. If you buy in at the float at face value this is lost to investors. To get over this, Magellan transitioned MHT from a closed-ended listed investment trust to an open-ended active exchange-traded fund. This means Magellan can trade it on-market and act as a market price setter. The new code is MHHT and the new INAV is MHHT-AUINAV. MHHT improved 10% immediately the change was announced. Does anyone know why MGF cant do this?
