The trend in new Covid cases is definitely NOT Victoria's friend.
My version of a 14 day moving average for the daily reproduction number is currently 1.0873 => an increase of 8.73% compounding each and every day. At this rate Victoria will experience 10,066 new cases on October 22nd making it impossible for authorities to end Victoria's lockdown on October 26th when full vaccinations are predicted to exceed 70%.
Other states and including NSW will then have to hard close their borders with Victoria, making an absolute mockery of the irresponsible calls by Morrison to just open up plane travel:
