Its actually my second full summer up here...first moved up permanently around this time last year.
As you say, plenty to look forward to...but you did forget the humidity, like walking into a bucket of water when you get out of the car!
I remember something like 12-15 days in a row of mid to high 40's late Nov/early Dec last year...and drinking 10 litres of water a day and still coming home dehydrated.
Most on HC...inlcuding me before coming up here...don't have the slightest idea just how hard things can get on such a project and how important having good quality people on he ground is to adding value to shareholders investments.
Spend some time up here and you gain a real respect for those spending all day in the field...especially the RC offsiders and drillers who also must deal with the dust...and at times mud...on top of everything else.
Tough place...which breads tough people.
All in all though, I am enjoying every minute up here, as hard as it can get at times.
Many on here could do worse than get off their behinds and spend a day in our shoes before opening their mouths.
