2021 BRN Discussion, page-25266

Good morning all, with seemingly more active content on HC at the mo I find it hard to go through many of the discussions so again apologies if I repeat things.

I am having my morning coffee and thought I’d take a little look at the short positions taken on BRN. This is my opinion and not financial advice.

it seems that a steady increase over the past few months has short positions at 65 million shares. What I find interesting is that if we assume that the options/selling period is slowing.. And we are kinda seeing the volumes of sells on the market decreasing now, would it be fair to speculate that just one good announcement that reverses the shorters confidence could see exponential increase in the sp.. (I’d be looking at each rush of 1 mill back in would be 4 points resulting in shorters recently causing approx say $2 increase if they are spooked)I’m not saying that any increase in price would be sustainable.. but would like some opinions on if we feels/agree that the shorters are actually creating their own trap? Which will likely result in a short squeeze? The over confidence that shorters and downrampers show on here.. is fine, as that is their own time and research.. but if they continue to hold their positions and their sentiment changes with 1 piece of news.. I can see a blood bath to get back in very quickly.. all created by themselves. This is looking to be an extremely interesting time to be a holder regardless as to recent falls (IMO)
