polpak a majority of the people that live in far arias simply do not have a choice, the service or the customer service offered to them is not exactly something Telstra would be proud off however simply making it to them that far is an achievement as that investment wasn’t a small one and decently isn’t one that most other telecoms would like to do since it only means more infrastructure spending in low population density arias..

even the service they offer other Telcoms in not so far arias isn’t one they would be proud of, the fact is if you want to work for Telstra as a sparky you simply need a tafe course and u can start there as an apprentice prity much on your own within 2 weeks, these are ppl that go to an exchange and simply disconnect a randoms line to connect the current job at times on the CDMA boards !!! I won’t bother listing the sort of ignorant problems that we use to have to deal with but I assure you if a good service on fresh lines and reasonable price is offered even the most die heart Telstra fan in remote arias will at least consider it knowing how many problems he or she would have had in the past.

This change could be a good thing if Telstra actually tries to improve and upgrade their investment mentality from no we are the only ones and we are simply that big that we don’t need too, to ok lets see what else we could tap into before others or better than others.
