I've just read some news courtesy of the Faso Presse http://www.fasopresse.net/
They went to contact West African Resources Sanbrado site to congratulate and get comments on the recent record production levels. As the Government owns 10% of the company.

Their story states they couldn't contact anyone on the site over the weekend.
A reporter went to the site to find communications and power were disrupted, the reasons later found to be effects of the recent large solar flare.
The local population most workers claim the reason however to be in their local language, "Eydonnooowmmite".

The company has commented they are taking steps to rectify these issues.
However, Covid is also still an issue on-site. Or as the local village population say in the local language "Brakina Boufore" virus.

The reporter interviewed a local worker for comment, he stated they have returned to work, He and most of his comrades recently had acute cases of "Brakina Boufore" virus. I'll translate his comments as they are key here.

"Brakina Boufore is a bad bad virus, Sunday morning I felt the worst in particular, I had large headaches, however knowing we are part of something special for Burkina Faso. All my comrade workers went back to work as quickly as possible, as we are ready to set a new record in gold next quarter"

The article closes to say, "Sanbrado has mining production and power back on track for the final quarter and beyond".

Based on this article guys I think records are coming again! Staff is getting Covid "Brakina Boufore" and returning to work quickly as they are dedicated to the company. They also stated records more to come!
