    Hi Nolan.
Management is what matters. Not day to day share price fluctuations.
On 1 June 1990 the Bershire Hathaway share price was USD7,100
    On 12 March 1999 it was USD80,300
    On 4 February 2000 it was USD51,050
Last night it closed at USD412,540

If you feel sick at share price fluctuations you should not be investing in shares and less so in mining shares. Mining is inherently cyclical.
However management is the key and most important ingredient in long term value. Not today's share price or your entry price. Entry is important but way less important than the quality of the company management. And FMG has excellent management.

To use the above comparison in Berkshire Hathaway, if I bought in March 1999 and then felt sick and sold because of my huge loss in February 2000 it would have been a terrible decision. Berkshire Hathaway has quality management and hence is a good investment.

For companies like FMG and Berkshire Hathaway you are better to buy and relax and never sell. If you feel sick as you say you do about share price fluctuations then you either need to harden up or else get out of the market. Share prices will fluctuate short term they always do. The underlying quality of the company is what will drive the price long term and that is where the big gains are made.
