Links to the Darwin Refinery are now irrelevant as the refinery won’t be there.
The ntepa link from 2015 is even less relevant when it comes to water usage as SMS have come up with a closed loop waste water management plan using their own technology.
It will use much less water and prevent waste products escaping into the environment.
As the mine and refinery will now be co-located, the nett benefits for water and power usage should be better than for separate operations.
